Be careful when trying to help someone who is drowning in life. Every time you throw out a lifeline and they fail to catch it, after drawing it back, you step in a little closer to ensure that they are able to reach it. Each and every time you throw out the lifeline you are getting closer and closer to this person and their tragic situation. Make note of your proximity because eventually you can get to close and before you know it, now you too are in need of a lifeline. Awareness of how deep you are, or how deep you’re willing to go with a person could potentially save you from drowning in someone else’s river of life.
